Relaxation

Hello everyone!  Welcome to my blog!  I pray that each of you reading this is having an amazing week, with the best yet to come!

When I did the relaxation exercise this past week, it was very late at night, and I was very tired.  It was really easy for me to relax because I felt like falling asleep.  Normally, it is difficult for me to relax during an exercise, because I have a difficult time tuning the world out.  I feel like I can't fully relax.  So maybe for me, the key to being able to relax is to already be tired. 

I am really excited to do this blog.  I think it will be a wonderful process of getting my thoughts out.

  1. Beth, tuning out the world around me while trying to relax is something I occasionally struggle with as well. For me it's not always the things going on around me, but also just keeping my thoughts focused and not letting them wander off to other things like how much laundry I have to do or an argument, ect. I had a teacher tell me once that this is a problem (to some extent) for everyone and when you catch yourself not being completely focused to just refocus your mind. This takes practice just like anything else and over time you teach your mind to be quiet and focused.
